Ontotagger is a Java module that can read a NAF or KAF file and adds ontological labels to the term layer on the basis of wordnet synset identifier or lemma matches and a mapping table to ontological types. There is also an option to use an OWL ontology to tag lemmas in the term layer. The ontological labels and their hierarchical implications are added as external references to the matching terms.
This program is a re-implementation of the ontotagger that was developed in the KYOTO project.
Ontotagger is licensed under GNU GPL v3.
Ontotagger is compiled on Mac OS X version 10.6.8 with Java 1.6.
